Our range spans from geometric to organic shapes, from understated elegance to bolder statement designs. The design and craft of our pieces are informed by a recurring fascination with shape and texture, keeping the final product effortless yet striking.

We aspire for our pieces to be more than just accessories — but rather modern heirlooms, treasured for the next generation to come.

Modern everyday jewellery, for the individual who knows what they want. How you wear our pieces is up to you; a single piece at a time or a layered stack look. We encourage individuality.

The ethos codes surrounding sustainable jewellery design are paramount to us. All our metals are sourced from ethical suppliers. In fact, 95% of our metals are obtained from recycled sources. We also keep packaging to a minimum, reusing and repurposing where possible. We encourage our clients to utilise our customisable and long-term use jewellery boxes.

Savage Jewellery pieces are designed and manufactured in our studio, in sunny Durban, South Africa. Our designs are handcrafted in sterling silver and gemstones, bronze and brass, as well as custom gold pieces. 

The founding owner and in-house creative mind is Nicky Savage. Nicky has a strong affinity for creating as an independent designer. Nicky made the bold move to open a jewellery studio soon after graduating from Natal Technikon, obtaining a Diploma in Fine Art and a Higher Diploma in Jewellery Design & Manufacturing.

For nine years, Nicky lectured at The Durban University of Technology, teaching Drawing & Design to the next generation of local jewellery designers. 

Savage Jewellery, a woman-owned and managed studio, has been operating successfully, with Nicky at its helm, for 25 years.
